I don't even know how to start this blog post. Things are a bit unclear right now. I haven't posted anything for a while and it feels weird to just start posting new recipes without addressing the current issue we're all facing.
As grim as it all seems now, I do think there's light at the end of the tunnel. It's good to always look at the positive, not just at the negative. There's always a silver lining. Thanks to everyone being stuck inside, nature can heal. While we're all sitting inside, while nature has time to restore.
The most we can do right now is to stay at home and quarantine to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. While we're all inside, the best meals to make are those made with simple pantry staples and vegetables that can last a long time on the counter.
What should you stock up on when you decide you need to go to the grocery store? Things like pasta, rice, nuts, seeds, oats, etc. Vegetables that are good to keep are potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, apples, lemons, oranges, or any type of squash. There're probably many more vegetables you could stock up on, but these are the ones I use the most.
I hope you're healthy and are staying safe. Hopefully, this will pass soon but in the meantime, let's cook and maybe forget our troubles for a little while. <3
There's dinner recipes, snacks, sides, and I added a recent recipe I posted for a hot chocolate at the end as a sweet treat.
