These Strawberry Overnight Oats aren't your usual basic oats. They're made with homemade strawberry milk and absolutely to die for! The best part? You can enjoy them all year round!
The recipe was retested and slightly edited on May 15th to review the ingredients and write better instructions. The new version has added yogurt, which gives it a creamier texture. It also has double the oats and makes 2 servings now. This yields a better, thicker texture with the amount of liquid created from blended strawberries.
What Makes This Recipe Stand Out?
Getting up early and making breakfast is difficult for most of us and it's the reason we tend to skip it for that little bit of extra sleep. Am I right?
You don't have to choose between sleep and breakfast! With overnight oats, you can have both!
It comes together in just a few minutes and requires very little prep. These strawberry overnight oats are also made with homemade strawberry milk which makes them extra tasty and it's easier than you'd think!

Strawberry Milk or Chopped Strawberries?
Chopped strawberries are great here but homemade strawberry milk is even better! And I'd say it takes less time than finely chopping strawberries.
Would you like to save this recipe?
All you need to do is blend strawberries with some plant-based milk and vanilla and pour that over your oats instead of plain milk. I like to add maple syrup and almond butter for more sweetness and protein.
The reason this is better than just chopped strawberries is that the oats soak up all that strawberry flavor much more when you blend the strawberries with the milk. So delicious!

Yes! Most people prefer to eat overnight oats as is to save time but you can heat them up if desired. If you do, I recommend skipping the chia seeds for better texture.

Strawberry Overnight Oats
Delicious overnight oats made extra delicious with homemade strawberry milk. Fancier than regular overnight oats but still really easy!
- Total Time10 minutes
- Yield2-3 1x
- DietVegan
Ingredients
- ½ cup milk (I use cashew or almond milk)
- ½ cup plain yogurt (I use vegan coconut yogurt)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 8-10 medium fresh strawberries, divided (plus more for serving)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
- 1-2 teaspoon ground flax seeds (optional)
- 1 cup rolled oats
Instructions
- Into a high-speed blender, add milk, yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, 5 medium strawberries, chia seeds, and ground flax seeds if using. You can also stir the seeds in later but I like blending them in.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a large bowl and stir in the rolled oats.
- Dice your remaining strawberries and stir them in.
- Cover the bowl with Saran Wrap or divide it into small containers and refrigerate overnight or at least 5 hours.
- Serve with more fresh strawberries, nut butter, more yogurt, honey, maple syrup, or some chocolate hazelnut spread, and enjoy!

Notes
Strawberries: You can use fresh or frozen strawberries for the ones that get blended but I recommend chopping up fresh ones to stir in and add on top. You can let the strawberries thaw a little bit to make blending easier.
Storing: Store the overnight oats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. It tastes the best the first 2 days, after that, the strawberries become more mushy.
The recipe yields two servings, but if you're not very hungry in the morning, it can give you 3 servings.
