Summer is finally here!! (yes I'm two exclamation points kind of excited about that) I feel like we've had more than enough of winter and gloomy weather this year so I'm more than ready for the hot weather.
This month I'm sharing with you a recap of June's recipes, interactive playlist of the best songs of June, books you should read this summer, and other things you can't miss so let's get started!
June Recipe Recap
June was definitely the month of strawberries. I posted 3 strawberry recipes and I still have one more left to share with you. I also shared a post with 17 delicious strawberry recipes on Buzzfeed which you can check out here!
1. Maple Banana Granola // 2. The Best Cheesy Vegan Spread // 3. Strawberry Coconut Sugar Cookies // 4. Strawberry Rhubarb Breakfast Oat Bars // 5. Strawberry Vanilla Chia Jam // 6. How to Make the Best Healthy Popsicles Ebook
The Best Songs of June
I decided to create an interactive playlist for you this month. I had all these on repeat last month. Hope you like them and find a few new songs you can listen to!
Books
I read quite a few books this past month, 6 to be exact.
I read This Girl by Colleen Hoover, When We Collided by Emery Lord, A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith, We Should Hang Out Sometime: Embarrassingly, a True Story by Josh Sundquist, and Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon (I also finished Goodbye to All That: Writers on Loving and Leaving New York but that was only a few pages which doesn't really count).
Looking back, June was definitely a month of contemporaries. Out of all those books, I most liked Everything Everything and We Should Hang Out Sometime. I definitely recommend you read these two this summer if you haven't yet. They're both easy and fun contemporaries and if you like YA novels, definitely pick those up! We Should Hang Out Sometime is a story of Josh looking back at his past relationships and figuring out what went wrong in each one. It's funny, it's both awkward and cute, and it's quite relatable too. Everything Everything is a story of a girl who has a rare illness where her immune system is compromised and she's allergic to literally everything so she can't leave the house or meet new people. Then this hot guy moves in next doors and she might just fall in love which complicates things a bit.
As you may have noticed, the picture of popsicles next to the rest of recipes from June isn't actually a recipe I posted in June. It's an e-book I posted back in May and I'd love for you to check it out! It's all about popsicles, how to make the best healthy ones this summer plus 16 heavenly recipes you'll love! There's also a bonus recipe for raw chocolate sauce so that you can cover them all in chocolate which, let's be honest, is necessary.
The ebook is $2.99 which I think is a great deal since it's basically the price of one popsicle. I promise you it's worth it — you'll never want to go back to buying unhealthy popsicles when you can easily make your own!
You can learn more about the ebook HERE or go straight to the purchase page (there is also brief info about the ebook, just click 'I want this!' to purchase the ebook)
What are your favorites this month? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love know! :)
