This Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a fun twist on the classic lemonade. Perfect for serving at backyard barbecues or simply enjoying on its own.

  • DietVegan

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • small handful of basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup (sub maple syrup or Strawberry Simple Syrup)
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (approx. 2 lemons)
  • 4 1/2 cups water (divided)
  • Ice for serving
  • Lemon slices, strawberry slices, and fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Into a high-speed blender add strawberries, fresh basil, sweetener, lemon juice, and ½ cup of water.
  2. Blend on high until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a tall pitcher.
  3. Add 4 cups of water and stir to combine.
  4. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices, strawberries, and basil if desired.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up 2 days.

Sparkling water: Add 1/2 cup still water to the blender and when you're ready to serve, skip the pitcher. Fill short glasses with ice, pour 2-3 oz of the strawberry basil puree into each glass, and top them up with sparkling water.
