Description

These Roasted Frozen Green Beans are the easiest side dish and just as delicious as fresh green beans! No more soggy green beans! These are crispy, savory, and make a great holiday side!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb frozen green beans (1 bag, 500g)
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil (or other cooking oil)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 lemon for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425F (220C).
  2. Empty your bag of frozen green beans on a large baking sheet (see notes).
  3. Drizzle with avocado oil and toss to coat.
  4. Season with dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss again to coat evenly.
  5. Roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
  6. Take the green beans out of the oven, add sliced almonds, and toss gently.
  7. Lower the heat to 400F (200C) and return the pan back into the oven.
  8. Roast for another 10 minutes.
  9. Add a squeeze of lemon before serving or serve with lemon wedges. Enjoy!

Notes

Smaller baking sheet and oven: If your oven is smaller and your baking sheet is only around 14x10-inch, I recommend making the green beans in 2 batches to get them crispy. You can totally cook them all at once to save time but when they overlap too much, they will steam rather than roast.

Storing: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven at 300F or in a pan on the stove with a splash of water.
