Italian Seasoning

Recipe by Veronika Sykorova

This Italian Seasoning is a simple blend of dried herbs. It's inexpensive, versatile, and better than store-bought. You can add it to pasta, meats, fish, salad dressings, sandwiches, and more!

  • Total Time5 minutes
  • Yield1/2 cup 1x
  • DietVegan

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp dried marjoram
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 tsp dried sage (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all spices to a small bowl and stir or whisk to mix.
  2. Transfer the Italian seasoning to a spice jar and store it in your pantry for up to 6 months. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.

Notes

Dried herbs can last you a long time when stored properly but they do lose flavor over time. Using fresh dried herbs will ensure this seasoning blend will last you 6-12 months.
