This Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai Latte is inspired by the Christmas Starbucks drink and made with homemade gingerbread syrup. Learn how to make your favorite drink at home and enjoy it any time you want!
Ingredients
Gingerbread Syrup
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp gingerbread spice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai Latte
- ice
- 1/2 cup oat milk
- 1-2 tbsp gingerbread syrup
- 1/2 cup chai concentrate
- Garnish: gingerbread spice, whipped cream, gingerbread cookies (optional)
Instructions
Gingerbread Syrup
- Add dark brown sugar, water, and gingerbread spice to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
- Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Take the syrup off the heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the syrup into a glass jar and store it in the fridge. Wait for the syrup to fully cool down before closing with a tight-fitting lid.
Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai Latte
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Add oat milk and gingerbread syrup.
- Pour chai concentrate over the milk and stir to combine.
- Top with a dusting of gingerbread spice and optionally whipped cream and a small gingerbread cookie. Enjoy!
Notes
The amount of chai concentrate you’ll need to use might vary based on the brand you use. Some call for a 1:1 ratio of chai and milk, while others 1:3 where you use more milk than chai.
The syrup can be stored for up to 2 weeks in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
