Description
These Cinnamon Baked Peaches taste like a homemade peach pie without any of the work! They're simple, delicious, and so effortless! Serve them with ice cream for dessert or as a topping for oatmeal or yogurt with granola.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp bourbon (optional, you can sub 1 tsp vanilla extract)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Small pinch of sea salt
- 3-4 peaches, pitted and halved
- 1 tsp turbinado sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (175C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, melted butter, bourbon or vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sea salt.
- Add the peaches to a medium baking dish cut side up.
- Drizzle the maple butter mixture over the peaches so it pools in the middle and drizzle the rest around the peaches making sure you swirl them around so the whole peach is covered.
- Bake the peaches in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until soft and caramelized on top.
- Serve the peaches right away with ice cream, roasted almonds, pistachios, or other toppings. Enjoy!
Notes
Baking dish: I like using a baking dish that fits the peaches well and isn’t too big. I find a 6x10-inch baking dish is ideal for 3-4 peaches.
Peaches: I used 3 peaches for the photos in this recipe but the sauce makes enough for 4. I prefer making it with 3 peaches because it gives me more sauce for drizzling.
Maple butter sauce: The caramelized sauce on the bottom of the baking dish may separate in the oven. You can use a whisk to mix it and drizzle it over your peaches and ice cream.
Storing: Store the peaches in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. You can also freeze it in a freezer-safe container for 2-4 months.
Reheating: Reheat the peaches in the oven preheated to 350F for 10 minutes. If the peaches are frozen, defrost them in the fridge overnight first.
