Description

This Apple Pie Smoothie is the perfect smoothie for fall. Top with whipped cream and serve as a sweet snack or add protein powder and enjoy it for breakfast!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 cup yogurt (I used unsweetened vegan coconut milk yogurt)
  • 2 frozen chopped apples (or 1 fresh and one frozen)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Crunchy apple pie topping: 1 tbsp turbinado sugar, 1/4 tsp apple pie spice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add almond milk, yogurt, chopped apples, honey, apple pie spice, and vanilla extract to a high speed blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth. Add more milk if needed or more sweetener.
  3. Divide between two glasses and top with whipped cream and turbinado sugar mixed with apple pie spice if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

You can use fresh or frozen apples but I like using frozen apples to make the drink colder and creamier. If you don’t have time to freeze apples, you can also add one frozen banana to make the drink cooler or a handful of ice.

Breakfast: If you want to serve this for breakfast for one, add 1 serving of protein powder and skip the whipped cream.
