Strawberry Matcha Smoothie

This two-layer Strawberry Matcha Smoothie is refreshing and creamy, gives you natural energy, and it's the perfect breakfast for any matcha lover!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • Handful of baby spinach (optional)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 serving of protein powder (optional, plain or vanilla flavor are great options)
  • Garnish: fresh strawberry (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add strawberries into a high-speed blender and blend on high until pureed. Pour into a glass and set aside.
  2. Rinse your blender with water and add almond milk, matcha powder, baby spinach (if using), frozen banana, frozen pineapple, and protein powder (if using).
  3. Blend on high until smooth. 
  4. Add some of the pureed strawberries into a tall glass followed by some of the matcha smoothie. Layer the two until all is used. This can be one large glass or divided into two glasses.
  5. Garnish with a strawberry and enjoy with a straw to mix the two layers.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Smoothies are best consumed right away.
