Mango Simple Syrup

Recipe by Veronika Sykorova

This Mango Simple Syrup is just as delicious as it is beautiful! It's bright, sweet, and its tropical flavor is perfect for summer cocktails, mocktails, lemonades, iced tea, and more.

  • Total Time25 minutes
  • Yield1 1/2 cup 1x
  • DietVegan

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup diced mango (fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Add cane sugar, water, and diced mango into a small saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Take the syrup off the heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer and squeeze out as much juice out of the mango as possible.
  6. Transfer to an airtight jar and wait for the syrup to cool down before closing with a lid.
  7. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

The sweeter and more ripe your mango is, the better the syrup will be. You can let it rest for longer after you take it off the heat to make sure it has more flavor.
