Gingerbread Spice Mix

Recipe by Veronika Sykorova

This Gingerbread Spice Mix is the perfect spice blend for the holiday season! Add it to desserts, sweet breakfast dishes, drinks, and more!

  • Total Time10 minutes
  • Yield1/2 cup 1x
  • DietVegan

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground star anise
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp ground fennel (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all the spices into a bowl or a jar and stir everything together until well combined and mixed together.
  2. Store in an airtight jar at room temperature in a cool dry place for up to 6 months.

Notes

Spices don’t really expire but they will lose their flavor overtime. You’ll know the spice isn’t fresh anymore and should be tossed when it’s not as fragrant and flavorful as it used to be.
