Blueberry Mojito

Recipe by Veronika Sykorova

This Blueberry Mojito is a refreshing blueberry twist on the classic summer cocktail. Mocktail version is included!

  • Total Time5 minutes
  • Yield1 1x
  • DietVegan

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 15 fresh mint leaves (a small handful)
  • 1 lime, chopped
  • 1/4 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 oz white rum
  • ice or crushed ice
  • Sparkling water
  • Garnish: fresh mint, a slice of lime

Instructions

  1. Add fresh mint leaves, chopped lime, blueberries, and cane sugar to a tall glass.
  2. Use a muddler to muddle everything together well.
  3. Add white rum and stir with a cocktail spoon.
  4. Fill the glass with ice and top up with sparkling water carefully to create an ombre effect.
  5. Garnish the mojito with fresh mint and a slice of lime and serve with a straw. Stir before drinking and enjoy!

Notes

Mocktail version: You can make a mocktail version of this drink by either using a non-alcoholic spirit that mimics the flavor of rum or you can leave it out altogether and add more sparkling water instead. I like to use flavored unsweetened soda to give it a little more flavor like LaCroix or anything similar. You can also add homemade syrup for extra flavor like thisΒ Blueberry Simple Syrup.
